Nowadays, problem solving based on small groups, has became a source in a useful methodology. In order to take advantage of experience and to understand better the interaction among a group of persons when they have the intentation to do an specific job, a primary group formed by six undergraduate students was observed and their behavior after and specific work was annotated. After describing and analyzing the different students behaviors, it was found that these occurred in different stages. Although the hipothesis of Bales Phase was proved, it was not affirmed that the type of movement described by Robert Freed Bales (1950) was universal.
