Preliminary exploration of the causality of attrition in the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán.

A survey was realized among 58 members of the generation 1984-1987 of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Yucatan, Mexico, 24 droppers and 34 graduntes, about their individual characteristics (motivation, work, status, etc.). The statistic differentes between the two groups were determined by x2 method. (o procedure). The only difference with statistics significate was the fact of working or not working, and only among the elements of the 1st. grade, during wihch 70 to 80% of droppings happened.
