Educational informatics, state of the art in Latin America

Abstract

There is a increasing interest in the use of computers in education in latin america. It is important for the educational managers; a necesary tool and technical aid for teachers; curricular discipline for all levels and schools; an innovative field of research and an increasingly interesting marketing posibility. It is presented here a general consideration of the state of the art of educational computing in latin america. Finally, there is a list of the main groups working in the field connected in the iberoamerican network of informations in education (RIBIE) in each country.
