A teacher training and updating program as a means for the professionalization of teaching.

Abstract

From the beginning it was considered the most relevant condition that would serve as an indicator for the teachers to whom the courses would be destined, it was observed that there were, and still are today, a large number of professionals from different disciplines who work partially or totally as teachers that even when they master the knowledge of their specialty, they do not have the minimum principles and procedures for the adequate exercise of the teaching practice. The ultimate purpose of the teacher training and updating program offered by our School is to achieve the institutional goals, which is equivalent to expecting that the students of the different educational units obtain an optimum degree in their scholastic achievement.
